Data delivery channels, such as radio broadcasters, use ENS™ to produce and disseminate program service data like news, weather, sports results, spot advertising, song titles, artist, and talk show content.

ENS™ has been used to design private channels, including the Traffic Message Channel.
ERI has designed private channels using ENS™, including the Traffic Message Channel (RDS TMC), and the Utility Message Channel (RDS UMC).
